Functions & Benefits

Alpaca fiber is warmer, lighter, yet stronger than wool. It is soft, durable, luxurious and a silky natural fiber resistant to saturation that makes it nearly water repellent. While similar to sheep’s wool, it is not as prickly, and has no lanolin, which makes it hypoallergenic. The inner material is made of carded and combed clean primary material. No secondary materials are collected and used during the process of the fiber and the production of the duvet. It's hollow core follicle provides the duvet a natural thermal nature which helps regulates your body temperature. In essence, the product is suitable all year round and maximizes your sleeping comfort.

Peruvian Alpaca Wool

Alpaca wool is a light, soft, warm and resilient fiber used to make a plethora of goods. We decided it'd be a good idea to try it out in a comforter, and we weren't disappointed! The Incas were right, it's quite the treasure!

Pure Alpaca. Naturally grazing in the ranges of the Andes Mountains in Peru, at altitudes 3000m or higher above sea level, the Peruvian alpaca is bred specifically for its lustrous and silky natural fibers and is globally recognized as the premier source of alpaca.

100% Hypoallergenic. High quality Peruvian alpaca wool bears no lanolin which makes it hypoallergenic. No pesticides, chemicals, dyes, or bleaches are used, and the naturally dry and clean fill prevents dust mites and other allergens from settling in.

100% Alpaca Wool. Filled with 100% Peruvian alpaca wool with no secondary materials or sheep’s wool found in some other comforters. Only clean tops, carded and clean combed fiber are used to ensure excellence in quality.

Optimal Temperature Regulation. Alpaca fiber thermal nature is due to its hollow core within each follicle, providing greater regulation to your body temperature. As warm as a down comforter but less fill needed to keep you warm. Suitable year rounds to keep you sleeping at just the right temperature for maximum sleeping comfort.

The Best Wool. Warmer, stronger, lighter, more durable, and cleaner than sheeps wool. Alpaca wool will absorb up to 35% of its weight in moisture, keeping you dry and comfortable while you sleep.

Fire resistant. Alpaca fiber is flame-resistant and meets the US Consumer Product Safety Commission’s standards.

100% Cotton Cover. Extra soft, beautifully smooth and crisp 400 thread count cotton covers.

The Perfect Down Alternative. As warm and comfortable as a down duvet, and less fill to keep you warm, the alpaca wool’s excellent thermal regulation keeps you warm but not sweaty throughout the night. End the frequent wake ups tossing off your blankets only to search for them freezing moments later. This is the perfect alternative for those who cannot tolerate down.

The True Treasure of the Incas
Lately many countries around the world took alpacas from Peru to their countries to breed and have grown in numbers, but Peru still produces 80% or more of the total worldwide alpaca related products and have continued to produce them in high quality fashion.

Although it's just been a recent trend that people around the world have taken notice of alpaca for its excellent quality and durable source of wool, it has provided the same comfort and warmth to native South Americans for thousand of years
